I suspect that this signature belonged to a teacher and not a student. My reason for this is that there is only one probable match which I could find for Dawid Axselrod. That is Dawid Axelrad and his occupation is listed as Lehrer or Teacher! That is the only reason that I am entering him here (even though he was born in 1896).

I'm going to mark this research as confirmed even though this is not a student, so that we do not have future researchers looking down erroneous paths to find a student-aged Dawid Axselrod.
