User Comment:

For S. Adamowski i found two names born between 1928 and 1935. 1.) Sara Adamowski born in 1932 and she lived at MOLTKE 46 and Sattler 6 flat 10. She changed her address on 3.5.43 to Sattler 7. The 2nd name was also Sara Adamowski born on 28/04/1933 and she also lived at Sattler 6 flat 10. I'm guessing they are the same girl do to the same address. (Also note the spelling of Adamowki as Adamowska.)

Good work! I'm not sure what I'm supposed to put in the ER's comments. But I went through the research and everything you've added seems correct.

I agree that we can piece together the story of S. Adamowski from the three records of her in the LGI database:
-Sara Adamowska, born 24/4/1932, living at Sattlergasse 6 and Sattlergasse 7 #30, with a ghetto note of 3/5/1943
-Sara Adamowski, born 28/4/1933, living at Sattlergasse 6 #10
-Sara Adamowska, born in 1932, living at von-Moltke-Strasse 46, Sattlergasse 6 #10, and after 3/5/1943 at Sattlergasse 7

So, what do we know?
-Her first name was Sara
-She was likely born in April 1932 or 1933
-She lived at three different addresses: von-Moltke-Strasse 46, and Sattlergasse 6 #10/7 #30 (after May 3, 1943)
-She was not deported in any of the major deportations in 1942, since she was still in the ghetto in May 1943.

Go ahead and add in the other address (with apartment number) and the other 1932 birthdate, so we have a record of all of them--then I'll be able to confirm that yes, this is the right person, even if we don't know everything exactly about her history. Great work!

For ER comments, if you find anything that the user might have missed, or if you have questions for the user, that goes there--it's your chance to do what we do on the back end, and start getting the users thinking deeper before the admins review the research. Thanks!

User Comment:

I found Rywka Adamowski(a) born 15/04/1906 living at the same address as Sara Adamowski(a). I believe she was the mother of Sara ad there was also two men Jehil Machl Adamowski born 07/02/1902 and he died 12/12/1942. Also Chil Adamowski born on 07/12/1902.

On yadvashem.org there is a page of testimony for Sara Adamowski and it states her parents were Yekhiel and Rywka Adamowski nee Rubin. This was submitted by her UNCLE Aleksander (Eliasz) Rubin (Ranoschy) and it says she was murdered in Auschwitz in 1943 at the age of 11. I have attached the link below.

I looked through the secondary resources to try and find when she was deported to Auschwitz and found alot of possibilites. On May 6, 1943, 279 Men and 81 women were admitted. On May 25, 1943, 98 people from Lodz were registered as Prisoners and on June 5, 1943, 49 were registered as prisoners. That is just a few of the dates she and her mother could have ended up in Auschwitz.

Good work. I agree that these are the most likely candidates to have been Sara's parents, since all three are listed at the same addresses. Chil and Jehil are almost certainly the same person, though whether he was born in February (02) or December (12) is not yet known.

If this is true, then Sara and Rywka moved to Sattlergasse 7 #30 after Jehil/Chil's death in December 1942.

We still do not know the exact details of Sara's presumed deportation, though we can assume that it was after May 3 or 4, 1943 (the date listed for the change of address to Sattlergasse 7 #30). If she was indeed deported to Auschwitz, there are a finite number of dates on which this could have occurred, which you have listed from the secondary source material--if she was deported in 1943, there's a high probability the final destination was indeed Auschwitz. Let's leave this as possible for now until we know a little bit more, but excellent work with the testimony from Sara's uncle.
