User Comment:
Her ghetto street address was Franz Strasse
103 Flat 3. Her occupation was Schuelerin.
User Comment:

Only two names appeared when B. Abzac was searched in the database.  One was a male (Benjamin) and one was a female (Bela).  Her birthday is June 28, 1923, which is appropriate for Bela to be in the Gymnasium and high school for girls. Her occupation is listed as schuelerin meaning she was a student.

Other information

Ghetto address:  A HITLER 66

Ghetto address:  FRANZ 103 3

I agree with your reasoning and confirm that Bela is most likely the student who signed the album as "B. Abzac." At 18, she would have been of the appropriate age to have attended gymnasium in 1941.

Thanks for your clear explanation of your process. I look forward to seeing what you found in stage 2.

Abram Abzac is possibly a brother since he has the same ghetto addresses as Bela. His birthday is March 31, 1927 and he is listed as a Schueler.

Fajga Abzac is possibly a grandmother since her ghetto addresses are listed as FRANZ 103 and FRANZ 103 2. However, Bela's ghetto address was FRANZ 103 3. She was born in 1858. Fajga's ghetto note is GEST 26.10.41 meaning she died on Oct. 26, 1941.

Lajbusz Abzac is possibly the father since he has the same ghetto addresses as Bela. His occupation is listed as Reisender meaning he was a traveling salesman. His birthday is Oct. 1, 1885. His ghetto note is GEST 29.9.42 meaning he died on Sept. 29, 1942.

Sura Abzac is possibly the mother since she has the same ghetto addresses as Bela. Her birth year is 1892. Her occupation is listed as Hausfrau meaning she was a housewife.

Your reasoning is again sound on all counts. I do wonder if Fajga's address (Franz 103 2) was a typo, since it is so close to 103 3.

When you search, be sure to look under "Absac" as a last name as well. There are additional records for some members of the family with their names spelled like that. Sadly, I found a record of Abram's deportation to Chelmno in this way; he's listed as Abram Absac, but his ghetto address is, once again, Franzstrasse 103.
