I searched the database under the advanced name setting for the last name "Dessau", and there were 2 entries that appeared for what I believe to be the same boy, with a similar name to whom we are looking for. Mojzesz Dawid Dessau has a birth date of June 27, 1928 listed under his entry. His notes show that he resided at Blattbin 3 2 and Krauter 25. He has a moving date listed in his notes of May 10, 1942. His notes also show that he was a Schueler. Mojzesz Dessau has a birth year of 1928 listed in his notes. His notes indicate that he resided at Krauter 25 9 and Franz 28. His notes also show a moving date of January 2, 1942 to Lotnicza 3. He is also listed as a student under this entry. Nothing further is listed under either entry.

Thank you for your excellent process note. I agree these names both point to the same person, who is the most likely candidate to have signed this name in the album. I look forward to seeing what you find on him in the next stages.

User Comment:
By searching the database under the advanced names searchfor the last name of "Dessau", I was able to find several members of Mojzesz' family. Chil (birth year of 1907) was the oldest male living at the residence, and I believe that he was Mojzesz' Father. Ita (born 1902) was the oldest female at the residence, and I believe that she was his mother. Basia (born in 1932) and Mirjam (born 1929) were the only other 2 children listed as having resided with Mojzesz, and I believe that they were his sisters. The family shares a universal moving date (according to jewishgen.org Lodz Ghetto List) of January 2, 1942 to Lotnicza 3. Initially I believed that May 10, 1942 (a date that all 3 children share) was a moving date, but it is not. Rather it is a transport date. This date, according to Secondary Sources, coincides with a week of daily transports to Chelmno. I was unable to find any further information on Ita, but jewishgen.org Lodz Transports to Chelmno List shows that Chil was transported there on July 12, 1944 aboard transport 694, where he also likely perished.

I am going to mark this possible; despite the fact that the date corresponds with a week of daily deportations, it is still possible that this is a moving date.
