This roster for the 4th Work Group comprises part of a complete roster for the 1st Labor Battalion, compiled after the end of the 1942 work season. It covers the months of May through November. The men are listed according to their hometowns. Also given are YOBs, street addresses, civilian occupations, and dates of absence from the unit. Heading information indicates that the 1st Labor Battalion was headquartered at Sofia, but the deployment sites of the battalion's constituent work groups are not specified. The scribal penmanship on this list was done by several different hands, some careful and skilled, others indifferent. The lower numbered names are more easily legible.
