The names are numbered 1-217, with an interpolated name 115a, for a total of 218 men. Hometowns are given. YOBs are supplied for some, but not all. Also noted are the hospitals where each man was undergoing treatment (Sofia, Plovdiv, Pazardzhik, Ihtiman) but the nature of the men's afflictions is not stated. (It is known from other sources, however, that malaria was a frequent complaint of men in the Bulgarian forced labor battalions.) The names are grouped according to Jewish Work Groups within the 1st Labor Battalion.
