Abstract:
Although containing no necrology as such of those who perished in the Holocaust from the town of Krynki, there is a non-alphabetical street-by-street listing of the pre-War Jewish families of Krynki, many with occupations or other notable attributes or nicknames given [e.g. "the American", "the tenor", etc.], ("Nizkhor [...] di Krinker yidisher families forn oysbrokh fun der tsvayter velt-milkhomah", p. 328-332); also a pair of alphabetical listings of 28 elderly men and 5 women who were among those 39 persons massacred during Passover Eve 1943 [whose bodies were exhumed in December 1947], ("Korbonot fun dem blutikn erev-pesakh", p. 318); and an alphabetical index of the book's contributing authors ("Liste fun di oytors", p. 358). There is also a section on Krinki partisans and other fighters with many names given throughout its text (p. 312-315).
