This list is the first item on an Order (zapoved) of the 1st Labor Battalion. The first 18 names are of Jewish officers released upon the completion of 150 days of service with the battalion. A second sequence of 15 names are of NCOs, also released from service with the unit. The men are listed with their home towns and the dates of release. Headquarters of the 1st Labor Battalion were at Sofia. However, a notation in this order indicates that at least one company of the battalion was deployed at Gara (station) Milkovitsa, a place in north central Bulgaria situated very close to the Danube.
