The Mordechai Bernstein Collection held by Yeshiva University Archives includes documents concerning Jewish life 1605-1965 in 58 Jewish communities in Germany. Included are 115 inventories of Jewish records found in Staatsarchive (State Archives) for the following towns: Amberg, Amorbach, Ansbach, Assenheim, Bamberg, Birsteien, Braunschweig, Castel, Coburg, Darmstadt, Donaueschingen, Duesseldorf, Esslingen, Floss, Franfurt am Main, Friedberg, Fuerstenberg, Goettingen, Gunzenhausen, Hamburg, Hameln, Hannover, Hesse, Hildesheim, Huettenbach, Jebenhausen, Karlsruhe, Koblenz (Coblenz), Landshut, Ludwigsburg, Luebeck, Marburg an der Lahn, Memmingen, Munich, Neuberg, Neuenstein, Neumarkt (Oberpfalz), Neuwied, Nuremberg, Oberehrenbreitstein, Pappenheim, Regensburg, Ruegland, Reutlingen, Schweinfurt, Sigmaringen, Speyer, Stuttgart, Weikersheim, Wertheim, Wiesbaden, Wiesentheid, Wolfenbuettel and Wuerzburg.
