These name lists were presumably created by the Gestapo regional headquarters. Several Gestapo transport lists were microfilmed by Yad Vashem in the 1950s. Reels of these transport lists currently can be found at the National Archives (Washington, D.C.), Yad Vashem (Jerusalem), the International Tracing Service (Arolsen, Germany), and possibly several other libraries and archives. The donor has not provided the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum with any explanation about where he obtained this photocopied collection. He sent it to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Oral History Department in May 1992, and that department forwarded it to the Archives in July 1992.
