Abstract:
Alphabetical name register of inhaftees of the "Sternlager" [= "Star Camp"] at Bergen-Belsen known to have perished there or elsewhere. Established in July 1943, approximately 4,000 Jewish prisoners, of which the largest contingent were Dutch, were interned in the "Sternlager" and had been expected by the Nazis to be exchanged. Many names listed are of those deported from Bergen-Belsen aboard the so-called "Lost Transport" who perished at Tröbitz, near Dresden.
