This grouping contains applications for medical and dental services. Most of the applications include correspondence written by the applicant, or a family member, to Der Aelteste der Juden in Litzmannstadt requesting various items and services that they could not afford on their own. These services include, but are not limited to: teeth cleaning, dentures, medication, Vigantol (Vitamin D), supplemental food to aid in healing, additional items needed for medical care (quartz lamps), as well as requests for emergency surgery and hospital stays. The applications include a statement of the request, an explanation of the person’s circumstances, the name and age of the applicant.
