Description:
These documents are from the offices of the French National Gendarmerie. They concern those persons who were arrested and interned for being Jewish, escaped from camps, or who were arrested for illegally crossed the borders. They also concern military situations for Jews, matters relating to identification cards, remittances, and Jews of German origin residing in France.

Some of the documents contain detailed reports about the person's "crime," physical descriptions, dates and places of birth, ages, family members (names and ages), and health statuses.
