Paragraph #8 of 3rd Labor Battalion order no. 57 for 1941 names 22 ethnic Bulgarian labor troops and ten Jewish "reserve labor troops" who were eligible for cooked rations. The ethnic Bulgarians were either in hospital or on assignment. The Jews were all in hospital in Haskovo, Stara Zagora, or Sofia. All the Jewish laborers had been in the 2nd, 3rd. or 4th Construction Companies of the battalion.
