Paragraph V of 6th Labor Battalion order no. 34 states that 57 men were treated and released in June back to their units from state-managed hospitals in Lovech and Pleven. Of the 56, one was from the 3rd Jewish Group, 52 from the 4th Jewish Group, three from the 6th and one from the 8th Jewish Groups. Most of thehospital stays were from a couple of days; the longest was two weeks. The reasons for the hospitalization were unstated.
