Notes:
The list names Jewish ("reserve") members of the 1st Labor Battalion who had reported for duty in May 1941 at Gara Bov, located north of Sofia. Hometowns are given for each man. Among the battalion's constituent units here were 347 Jews assigned to the 2nd, 345 to the 3rd, and 367 to the 4th Construction Companies, for a total of 1059 Jewish conscript laborers. One ethnic Bulgarian and one ethnic Turk are also listed for the 1st Labor Battalion's Bridge Building Company which was composed entirely of non-Jews.
