    LS, MS Polish sculptor Xawery Dunikowski carving clay for a monument to the Silesian insurgents. CU, the number 744 tattooed on his left arm (from Auschwitz). Dunikowski chiseling marble with a cigarette. LS, MS Monument to the Unknown Warrior with guard parading, some ruins in BG. MS, grave covered with flowers. MS, a marble slab fixed on a pillar with the names of the great battles in which Polish soldiers took part in the West. MS, another slab with the names of the German-Russian campaign. MS, soldier parading. LS, Warsaw with people, trams. LS, Russo-Polish monument with flowers at the base. Russian orthodox cathedral in BG. CU, statue of group of Russian soldiers on top of monument. MSs, the Polish inscription (sign) "To the brothers of the Red Army - To the brothers in arms who gave their life for the liberation and the independency of the Polish people, the inhabitants of Warsaw erected." MS, the Russian inscription of the same. MS, people looking at flowers at the foot of the monument. LS, rough cross surmounted by a helmet at the entrance of a cellar. Two Polish officers and a civilian paying homage. CUs, inscription on the cross: "Here in that cellar lay the ashes of several hundreds of wounded and sick soldiers and civilian insurgents burnt by Germans as reprisals on 2nd September 1944." LS, statue of Siren, the coat of arms of Warsaw, standing up on her tail, erected on the bank of the Vistula River. VS, CUs, Siren on a skyline with her shield and sword. Ruined sotto-portico between Warsaw and the ghetto. LS, CUs in front of a ruined church, the statue of Kilinski, first Polish insurgent, brandishing his sword. LS, Tumulus made of wrecked bricks with a cross on top. Memorial honoring Polish dead. LS, woman teacher with children at twilight, talking about the famous market place of Warsaw. LS, MS ruins of the city hall of Warsaw. CUs, three girls drawing at the foot of the wrecked city hall. LSs, CUs, of the façade of wrecked opera house. Cart passes in FG. MS, memorial erected at the main entrance of the opera house, for musicians slain by Germans. Three children stand bareheaded in front of the memorial.
