- DP Stateside Bound, Butzbach, Bremen staging area, Germany, October 12, 1948. Several families are oriented by a female official. The Blumenbach, Rogouste, and Homik families stand at windows of train which will take them to Bremen. MS, Army capt, J L Streicher, and IRO movement officer Abolins, speaking at railroad platform. People assembled at railroad station to see relatives and friends off. Bread is unloaded from boxes at the railroad platform. CU, UNRRA written on wooden box. CU, railroad tickets used for bread ration. DPs are issued bread rations. Man taking bread away in box; man playing accordion; friends at station waving goodbye as train moves out. SEQ: DPs getting off second train arriving at Bremen. DPs unload baggage. LS, MSs, CUs, DPs walking into Bremen staging area, IRO camp. Children on slide and seesaw in playground area.
