    Description
    Part 2. Warsaw uprising of 1944, which began on August 1 and lasted for 63 days. Buildings in Warsaw on fire during the uprising. Fighting in the streets; Polish Home Army soldiers lay communications wire. Children watch a puppet show. More destruction; a nurse hands out buckets of water from big wooden casks. People on the move in the streets amid shooting and fires. 00:17:03 Priests remove sacred objects from a church. 00:17:16 A cameraman filiming a burning building. Men bury a casket. A makeshift graveyard. Men load a rifle and shoot at a target. Several uniformed young boys watch. People gather buckets of water from a broken pipe. A long line of people holding bukcets wait for water. People take shelter in lean-tos and other makeshift shelters. Interior shots of people sleeping. Women cooking out of doors. Pan of destroyed buildings. People are transported to a hospital by stretcher. A priest officiates at a marriage ceremony between a soldier and a woman wearing a red cross band. More street fighting. Several big bonfires at night. 00:24:45 People rush to open a parachute of supplies (weapons?) dropped on Warsaw. People dig bodies out of the rubble of a bombed building. Shot of uniformed Polish soldiers fighting, receiving weapons. 00:29:33 Poles pull a German officer out of a bunker. More captured Germans with their arms raised. A smiling Pole with captured German weapons.
