    Struthof concentration camp; replacement training

    Description
    Concentration Camp, Struthof, Germany, December 2, 1944. LS, Pan, wire enclosed building of concentration camp. CUs, details of charged barbed wire fence. CUs, urns used for ashes of victims. Seq: US soldier examines crematorium, blood stained coffin, and gas chamber. CU, autopsy room. (Note: This camp was used by the Germans for political prisoners from Belgium and France.)

    Replacement Training, Alsdorf, Germany, December 3, 1944. MSs, soldiers of the 29th Division Replacement Training Center on obstacle course. Men advance across open field in attack formation. MSs, officers study maps of maneuver area. MSs, officer lectures a group of soldiers near wrecked German pillbox of the Siegfried Line. CU, sign: "Training Center Command Post- Our slogan is Enthusiasm." MSs, soldiers firing rifle grenade launchers from the shoulder at pillbox.
