    Description
    Interior of hospital ward, drawing on wall of "Tiger" tank passing over barbed wire. Camera pans down, child lying in hospital bed. Chalking FULL on wall. Stretcher removed from back of ambulance; one of the stretcher bearers is member of Quaker Relief Service team RS100. German orderlies take stretcher into hospital. "Contaminated" drawn on ambulance doors. CU of woman's shoulder badge combining Red X and Order of St. John symbols. Ambulance being unloaded in BG. Female relief worker, Miss Russell Smith, drives "clean" ambulance off screen right. TYPHUS sign at right. German medics in white remove stretcher from ambulance. German officer with Red Cross insignia supervises, while two British observe. Woman on stretcher removed from ambulance, holds hand of a British man as she is brought into delousing station. Closing door of a "clean" ambulance. MLS to waiting truck as male internees walk past with personal possessions. Truck is crowded, Army photographer stands on the cab taking pictures. Liberated prisoners loading and climbing on truck. Truck moving off. Prisoners wave. MCU of men waiting in crowd while British sergeant moves among them, shaking hands. Board reads EVACUATION, truck passes behind it carrying waving evacuees. MS to RASC trooper and French internee dancing with crowd of onlookers. Band playing. Man singing to crowd. Men on truck applauding. LS view of camp. Heaps of debris, laundry on barbed wire. LS along main road of women's camp. Other shots of camp with inhabitants sleeping on the ground, walking in camp, cooking, sifting through debris. Tents, fires, heaps of rubble. Shots of ragged-looking women sitting to rest, check for lice, etc. More shots of camp: smoke, tents, cooking fires, people wandering. MS through barbed wire fence where bin full of potato peelings is tipped over, two women look through waste for scraps. One Hungarian and one British sentry observe as female internees reach through fence for scraps; guards kick remnants towards them.
