I have been a student of the holocaust all my life (I am now 50). I thought my origins were english, recently found out 1996, that they are in fact German. this has been a lesson in wondering how I would have dealt with this information if I had a racial bias towards Germans. My next question (not known) is were my ancestors Jewish? Is this why I am compelled to read every eye witness account about the human spirit and fighting evil? Certainly should make others think about their racial origins, and how quickly the shoe could be on the other foot. the holocaust should be a subject of history in all schools in all countries. I recently asked a 16 year old girl what she knew about the holocaust, she said "what is that?" Made my blood run cold. Please do not let it ever be forgotten, teach your children, and their children. From Australia.

It is the day to remember the innocent victims in the Holocaust. It is the day to look backward the history to prevent the same thing from happening. It is the day to pray for the peace of the world.Remembering the history and constructing a better future of human beings is a responsibility of all of us .
