According to the Yugoslav war crimes tribunal, Bosnian Serb forces under the command of  Ratko Mladic murdered around 7,000 Muslim men and boys from Srebrenica captured after the fall of the United Nations “safe area” in July 1995.  The Google map below shows what happened to the Muslim prisoners taken to Orahovac following their capture.  It also shows the attempted cover-up of the murders by Mladic subordinates.  Click on the map for more information about detention sites, execution sites, and primary and secondary gravesites. Around 800 men from Srebrenica were taken to and detained at Grbavci school in Orahovac.

Execution and Primary Burial
Men detained at Grbavci school were taken to Lazete in Orahovac where they were executed and buried in mass graves.

Secondary Burial
Some of the Bosnian Muslim men that were executed and buried in Lazete were reburied in Hodzici after September 1995.
