According to the Yugoslav war crimes tribunal, Bosnian Serb forces under the command of  Ratko Mladic murdered around 7,000 Muslim men and boys from Srebrenica captured after the fall of the United Nations “safe area” in July 1995.  The Google map below shows what happened to the Muslim prisoners taken to Kozluk following their capture.  It also shows the attempted cover-up of the murders by Mladic subordinates.  Click on the map for more information about detention sites, execution sites, and primary and secondary gravesites. Around 1,000 men from Srebrenica were detained at Rocevic school and then taken to Kozluk.

Execution and Primary Burial
Around 1,000 men from Srebrenica were brought to Kozluk from Rocevic school. Men were executed and buried on site.

Secondary Burial
Of the 1,000 or so men executed at Kozluk, around 700 bodies were taken to Cancari and reburied after September 1995.
