Jan Willem Honig

Dr. Jan Willem Honig is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of War Studies. He holds a degree in Medieval History from the University of Amsterdam and received a PhD in War Studies in 1989. Prior to joining the Department in 1993, he taught at the University of Utrecht and New York University. He was also a Research Associate at the Institute for East-West Security Studies in New York. In 1999-2000, Dr Honig was a Visiting Fellow at the Remarque Institute of New York University and the Centre of International Studies at Princeton University. He is the author of numerous essays and books, including Srebrenica: Record of a War Crime (1997, with Norbert Both), which has been translated into four languages.
