Having weapons was the most important thing. People came out of the ghettos, a good many of them came -- came with their shirt on their back. And there were camps, there were partisan units that did not accept people without weapons. There were partisan units that unfortunately came with weapons, but before they reached us, you know, there were Ukrainian units that intercepted them, took their weapons and killed them.
