On September the 27th, the signal of the Warsaw radio had been heard for the last time. For the last time the Mayor Starzynski addressed the people of Warsaw and the world. [music]. Warsaw fell.
German troops reached parts of Warsaw on September 8 and 9, 1939. During the German siege of Warsaw, the city sustained heavy damage from air attacks and artillery shelling.
