I am looking for anyone who might have known my great-grandparents. I have been able to find that Margit Szanto (born 1897) was listed as a prisoner in Auschwitz II-Birkenau in Block 23 on Sept 25, 1994 (do not know the arrival date). Her husband, Istvan (born 1893) was in Auschwitz I around the same time, then transferred to Dachau on Sept 18, 1944, then back to Auschwitz on Oct 23, 1944. They were both from Budapest, Hungary. They had 3 children - Ivan, Martha, and Oszkar. Their fates are unknown.

I was recently told that my Great Grandmother Rebecca Veinberg's whole family perished in the holocaust. I know she came over on Ellis Island in 1908 with her husband David Nueman.
Her fathers name was Joseph Veinberg and her mothers name was Mitilda. How would one go about finding out if this is true. I have no idea if she had brothers or sisters. I believe she was from Bucurest, Romania.
