WOULD YOU LIKE MUSEUM STAFF TO CONDUCT AN INTERVIEW WITH YOU OR SOMEONE YOU KNOW?
The US Holocaust Memorial Museum aims to rescue the evidence of the Holocaust by conducting and preserving oral testimonies from Holocaust survivors, victims of Nazi persecution, liberators, and other witnesses to the Holocaust. The Museum also accepts donations of interviews conducted by individuals and organizations.
If you or someone you know would like to be considered for an interview, please complete the online form, and a staff member will contact you.
Would you like guidance on conducting interviews on your own?
The Museum’s Oral History Interview Guidelines (PDF) is a unique reference guide to aid the public in conducting oral history projects of its own. Included are step-by-step suggestions for making initial contact with a potential interviewee, conducting research and preparing questions for the interview, and producing transcripts and summaries to help make the interview more accessible to researchers.
