| OVERVIEW OF ORAL HISTORY COLLECTION: | The Herbert Zipper Center focuses upon the life and times of Dr. Herbert Zipper, a survivor of Dachau, Buchenwald, and a Japanese concentration camp in Manila. The Zipper Archives include 40 tape recordings of conversations/interviews with Herbert Zipper; a biography of his life (Dachau Song, published by Peter Lang Publishing Company); a video film of Zipper's life ("Never Give Up" by Academy Award filmmaker Terry Sanders) ; videos of World War II; and a large collection of books dealing with Fin de Siecle Vienna, Austria in the 1900's; Dachau, Buchenwald, and Manila during World War II. |
