GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:The Living Memory non-profit organization was established in 2003 by a group of employees of the Office for Victims of Nazism, which is a part of German-Czech Future Fund. This is the office in charge of implementation of financial payments from the German foundation “Remembrance, Responsibility and Future” in Czech Republic.

Over 120 000 persons sent their application forms and documents indicative of their persecution in the Nazi era. In this way, a unique collection of original documents and personal reflections came into existence.

The aim of the new organization is to take care of the heritage of people persecuted during the Second World War. The organization proposes to complete the existing archive and aims to provide social and advisory services for people persecuted by a totalitarian regime, especially the victims of Nazism.
