GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:Using photos, texts and original documents, the Museé de la Résistance et de la Deportation traces Nazism from its beginnings through the course of the war, the Vichy regime, the Resistance movement in Franche-Comté, France and Europe, and liberation. The Museé houses collections of paintings, drawings and sculpture created in concentration camps and prisons.

It is important to note that during the German occupation from 1941 to 1944, approximately 100 members of the Resistance movement were shot within the confines of what has become the Museé.
