| GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION: | Museum Gross-Rosen was founded by the Ministry of Culture and Art on April 21,1983.
Until 2000 it functioned as a National institution under the Ministry of Culture and Art and at present is an independent institution under the administration and financial operation of Sejmik Samorzadowy Wojewodstwo Dolnoslaskiego Lower Slask.
They collect written depositions, diaries and some pages of memories from former prisoners.
The Museum works to preserve material from the former concentration camp Gross-Rosen to document and communicate the thousands of victims of that camp (and its subcamps). |

| OVERVIEW OF ORAL HISTORY COLLECTION: | At first interviews were conducted at the museum during visits by of former prisoners. At the present time, most of the interviews are recorded at their residences of the interviewees.
The interviews are not produced using a formal methodology although there is an attempt to retain a chronological description of events both before arrivial at KL Gross-Rosen, during, and after. |
