| GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION: | In 1962, a museum was created at the site of the KZ Stutthof, which was the longerst Nazi-operating concentration camp in Poland. There are both permanent and temporary exhibitions at the Stutthof Museum. |

| OVERVIEW OF ORAL HISTORY COLLECTION: | The Stutthof Museum gathers testimony and recollections of KZ Stutthof's existence, especially the events in the coastal Gdansk region during the German occupation of World War II.
In the collection, there are 408 testimonies from former Stutthof camp prisoners. In addition, 411 testimonies deal with the welfare of Poles living in the Gdansk region during the German occupation and Polish participation in various resistance groups. They also possess 38 testimonies from former Jewish prisoners documenting their time in KL Stutthof as well as their pre- and post-war experiences.
The majority of testimonies and collections is compiled in 27 volumes, a part of which can only be accessed at the Museum's Archives.
They also have more than 100 testimonies and recollections recorded on video. |
