| GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION: | The Museum of Danish Resistance 1940-1945 collects testimonies and documents regarding the period of German occupation 1940-1945 and in particular the resistance movements. |

| OVERVIEW OF ORAL HISTORY COLLECTION: | The museum has not conducted its own oral history project on the Holocaust. It possesses, however, a collection of about 700 questionnaires completed by former concentration camp prisoners (Communists, resisters, Jews, policemen) in 1946-1948.Some of these are supplemented by written testimonies. Many of the testimonies have been committed to paper (or tape) on the informant's own initiative. Virtually all testimonies are in Danish. The museum has no listening facilities for the public. One must order a copy of a particular tape.
The museum's cataloguing system does not separate oral history testimonies from other kinds of material such as archival material. |
