| GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION: | The Archive houses "The Twelfth Hour Project", generated by the Australian Institute of Holocaust Studies. |

| OVERVIEW OF ORAL HISTORY COLLECTION: | The Twelfth Hour Project which consists of about 400 tapes (182 interviews) was conducted by a small group of Sydney psychologists to preserve the records of these Holocaust survivors. About 180 people were interviewed from 1988-1992, and the tapes deposited in the State Library and copies in the Archive of Australian Judaica. Short transcripts accompany the tapes. Only Sydney residents were interviewed.
Interviews were carried out in 1988 until 1992 by a group trained by psychologists, and those interviewed related their experiences. |
