Timothy Snyder is Assistant Professor of History, Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut. He is author of Nationalism, Marxism, and Modern Central Europe: A Biography of Kazimierz Kelles-Krauz, 1872–1905 (1997) and The Reconstruction of Nations: Poland, Ukraine, Lithuania, Belarus, 1569–1999 (2003).
