Gershon Greenberg is Professor, Department of Philosophy and Religion, American University, Washington, D.C. He is the author of Holy Land in American Religious Thought, 1620–1948 (1993), numerous articles on Jewish responses to the Holocaust, and two definitive annotated bibliographies (1997 and 1999) published by the Institute for Holocaust Research, Bar-Ilan University, Israel. Professor Greenberg was Consultant in Religion for the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum from 1995 to 1997.
