Sara Bender is Research Fellow, Strochlitz Institute for Holocaust Research, University of Haifa, and Managing Editor, Lexicon of the Righteous among the Nations, International Center for Holocaust Studies, Yad Vashem. Dr. Bender has published articles concerning the Jewish communities of Bialystok, Radom, and Wilno (Vilnius) during the Holocaust and is the author of Mul Mavet Orev (1997), soon to appear in English under the title Facing Death. Her current work concerns the Jewish Community of Kielce under German occupation.
