The second volume in the series, Jewish Responses to Persecution, 1933-1946, covers the period 1938–1940, and takes us from the aftermath of Kristallnacht through the closing of the Warsaw Ghetto. This book explores the flight of Jewish refugees, ghettoization, and mounting violence.
