| RIFLE FOUND DURING EXCAVATIONS IN WARSAW GHETTO AREA | ||

The burnt remnants of this rifle were found in the area of the Warsaw ghetto uprising during excavations in the early 1960s. Only the metal parts of this rifle survived. It is a German "Mauser" type rifle manufactured in the late 1920s. It was donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum by the Museum of the Polish Army in Warsaw, Poland. | ||
