User Comments:

Zalman Boczko came up as an exact name match and there was no other name that was even close to this. There are some other students who signed the album as just 'Boczko,' but Zalman cannot be them because those Boczckos went to School #13B, where the kids were mostly born between 1926 and 1931--Zalman was born in 1934. This would make him on the cusp of attending the school where he went: School #21B, where the kids were born between 1927 and 1933.

Event though the date of birth is one year off I agree that this is the student who most likely signed this name in the album, and agree with your reasoning.

I matched Zalman's family based on people with the same last name who lived at the same address, and there were multiple profiles for each presumed family member. There were 2 for Zalman, 3 for his mother (Brana, b. 1892), 2 for his grandmother (Brandla, b. 1872), 2 for his brother (Izrael, b. 1930), and 6 for his sister/cousin (Ruta, b. 1917).

There is no information listed regarding the fate of Brandla or Ruta. However, Zalman, Brana, and Izrael were all deported (or moved) on March 15, 1942. I think it was more likely they were deported since March 1942 was the month of daily deportations to Chelmno.

Thank you for adding his family to the record. Given the deportation date we have to assume that the family was killed in Chelmno. Thank you for your research!
