User Comments:

A search for Z* Sliwinski turned up two results--Zalme and Zelman. They were both born in the same year and lived at (almost) the same address, so I concluded they were the same boy. In addition, the birth year makes Zalme/Zelman the right age to attend School #20A.

I agree that both these records point to the same person, who is the most likely person to have signed this name in the album. Please note that the Sulzfelder address is an "A.M." address, meaning that Zalme/Zelman's family lived there before and immediately after the creation of the ghetto.

User Comments:

No other person with the last name Sliwinski had an address to match Zalme/Zelman's.

He was deported on September 9, 1942, on which date there was a deportation to Chelmno.

I agree with your conclusions. If he was deported on September 9, 1942, he would have been deported as part of the Gehsperre Aktion, which targeted the oldest and youngest inhabitants of the Lodz ghetto. Were you able to find any information on his family?
