User Comments:
By searching the first and last name on the fuzzy setting of the database, I was able to find Szalon Piernikarz. The spelling of the first name is not exact, but the last name is spot on. Also, his occupation is listed as Schueler, and his age fits perfectly into the age range of a student attending School #20A.

I agree that you have found the person who signed this name in the album. The names Szulim and Szalom are both variations of Shalom, so it is not unusual that we would find these names as analogues for one another.

User Comments:
I believe that Izak is Szalom's father based on one shared address and date of birth. I believe that Malka is his mother for the same reason, and Mina's age range fits that of a sibling. I found his family by searching the database using the exact last name. I then looked for shared addresses. His parents, at one point, seemed to have an address on Hanseaten Strasse that the children did not (no address change was listed for them). I was able, by looking in the Ghetto Labor cards, to find Szalom. The number doesn't appear to be complete due to fading, but ti appeared that at least part of the number (0213) was there. He was registered to work on 20-10-1942 and the card was issued on 21-7-1943. It says he was registered as a Lehrling (apprentice) at Kleinmobelfabrik (furniture maker?). I have not been able to find any further information on Szalom.

If he was registered for work in October 1942, he was not deported during the Gehsperre Aktion in September 1942. Have you found any additional information on him in the next stages?
