User Comments:

When no direct match came up for Fela Walcman, I shortened my search to F* Walcman and found Fajga. She was born in 1929, which made her the right age to have attended School #8B.

Another name was listed for Fajga Walcman--Fajga Welsman. The first three addresses listed come from Fajga Welsman's profile, and the last two are from Fajga Walcman's profile. I'm pretty sure the Alexanderhof and Storch addresses are the name but I have listed them all for the sake of thoroughness.

I agree that this is the most likely candidate to have signed this name in the album. Thank you for adding both names to the record.

Fela/Fajga had quite a large family, and most (except Josef, Gitla, Tauba Estera, and Chil) had profiles which listed their last names as both Walcman and Welsman. These family members lived at the same addresses as Fela/Fajga, although their family roles are unclear as of now, which is why there are multiple possibilities for both the mother and father.

Fela/Fajga's father could have been either Josef (b. 1884) or Izrael (b. 1904). Her mother could have been either Gitla (b. 1880) or Tauba (b. 1900). My guess is that Josef and Gitla were a couple, as were Izrael and Tauba, but this is just speculation.

There are various siblings or cousins that Fela/Fajga could have had. Due to some of their birthdates, I am speculating that they could be either the children of Josef/Gitla or Izrael/Tauba. The children were Chil (b. 1914), Tauba Estera (b. 1918), Golda (b. 1927), Szmul (b. 1931), Benjamin (b. 1934), and Icchok (b. 1938).

As far as their fates, two died of currently unknown causes: Josef (d. July 22, 1941) and Icchok (d. May 18, 1942).

The only information listed for Gitla is that she moved on October 5, 1941.

Others had the same moving pattern as Fela/Fajga (moving on July 17, 1941 and moving/deportation on September 10, 1942). These include Tauba, Izrael, Golda, Szmul (although a third profile lists his deportation date as October 18, 1942, but he can't have been moved on both dates, so one of the dates in the three profiles is an error), and Benjamin. Before Icchok died he moved on the same date as the rest of his family. There was a deportation to Chelmno on September 10, and it is likely that is where this family went.

Chil and Tauba Estera were both deported on transport 5/2 on February 26, 1942, on which date there was also a deportation to Chelmno.

I completely agree with your findings. Thank you for adding her family to the record! Due to her deportation date we have to assume that she was killed in Chelmno.
