User Comments:
This is the only Raca Guter in the Lodz Ghetto list and she is the correct age for a child at school 8B. The Lodz Ghetto list describes Raca as schuelerin (schoolgirl). The residence before the ghetto for Raca's famiuly is Altmarkt according to JewishGen, however in Holocaust Survivors and Victims Databases her residence is listed as "A.M.", which JewishGen interprets as Alt-Markt, but which we interpret as "Alter Mieter," meaning that she lived at the Hohensteinstrasse address before and immediately after the creation of the ghetto.

Thanks for clarifying your source materials. I agree that this is the person who signed this name in the album. You'll find information about her deportation that you can enter into the appropriate fields on the next stage.

User Comments:
The information on Raca's transport from the ghetto is listed in Jewish Gen's LGL as 20/03/1942 / AUSG
TR 40/2

According to TIMELINE: Transports & Prisoner Registrations of Lodz ghetto Jews found in Secondary Sources, a deportatation on March 20, 1042 would have been one of daily transports in March: March
(daily) Deportation Lodz Chelmno More than 24,650 Killed in gas vans. We can probably assume therefore that Raca died as a result by being gassed in a van to Chelmno.

Thank you for listing her transport number and correcting your source. You can add the date as well (20/3/1942) as her date of deportation, and list Chelmno as her place of deportation and death, citing the secondary sources.
