Student Profile: Dora Bocian

I searched the database for the exact first and last name of Dora Bocian, and it returned two matches. Both matches (which seemed to belong to the same woman) were just a bit too old for having attended School #8B. I decided to search for the exact last name and the first name of Dora on the fuzzy setting. It didn't return any more Doras, but it did return a Dworja. Dworja Bocian was born May 15,1930 (she fits the age range for having attended School #8B). She was the closest match that I was able to find for the name of the child that signed the album. Unfortunately, a transport number of  14/2 is listed in her notes with no other available information.

I agree that this is the person who most likely signed this name in the album. In 1941 she would have been 11 years old, the right age to attend school #8b. According to the Jewish Gen Given Names Database Dworja and Dora could be two versions of the same name. Good job!
