User Comments:

After searching for 'G*' and 'Cederbaum' under all the parameters, I came up only with Gita and Gitla, both of whom lived at the same address and were born on the same day, so I have concluded that they are the same person. In addition, that birthdate puts them in the right age range to have signed the album.

I also agree that you have found the student who most likely signed this name in the album. We often see Gita, Gitla, and Gitl as analogues or nicknames for the same name.

User Comments:

Based on identical addresses, I have concluded that Gitl/Gitla had a father, Icek (b. 1886); a mother, Hinda (b. 1899) for whom there were two profiles, each a month apart (one for November 20, one for December 20); and a sister, Dyna (b. 1928).
Along with Gitl/Gitla, Dyna and one of Hinda's profiles has a deportation date listed as February 18, 1942. There is no corresponding deportation on the Secondary Sources list, so it is unclear what their fate was. There was no deportation information listed for Icek.

Thank you for adding the information about Gitla's family members. Have you been able to uncover anything about what happened to her in the next stages?
