I found two names that fit the range 1926 and 1932 for R. Albek.

1.) Ruchla Lea Albek was born on June 10, 1929 and she lived at Kranich 4 flat 1 and Mittel 40 and she moved on 28.10.1942 to Talweg 7.

2.) The second girl was Ruchla Laja Albek born in 1929 and she lived at Talweg 7 flat 12 and she had a comment Kranich 4.

I believe they are the same girl due to the similarities in thier address and names.

I agree that Ruchla Albek is the girl who signed the album as R. Albek for school #17b. At 12 years old, she would have been the right age to attend that school, as you suggest.

Since the records that became the Lodz Ghetto Inhabitants database were taken by address (basically a census), we can piece together a timeline for Ruchla Lea/Laja's movements: first she lived at Mittel 40, then at Kranichweg 4 #1, then after October 18, 1942, at Talweg 7 #12. Nice work! I look forward to seeing what else you find.

I believe the father of Ruchla was Binem Albek born in 1884 and he was deported on 10/09/1942 and according to the secondary resources from September 5-12, 1942 more than 15,000 prisoners were sent to Chelmo where they perished in the gas vans. Her mother was Tauba Hendel born in 1886 and she died on 03/07/1942. According to the hospital records she died from unterernahrung. I'm not sure but I believe this means Malnutrition.

Abram Lajb born 1915 was, I believe, her eldest brother and Chana Celka born 1917 was her eldest sister, she was deported with their father in 1943. Next there was Wolf and he was born also in 1917 and he died on 25/06/1941. Sender Ber born 1920 was next and then there was Nuchema Albek born on 13/08/1924. She was deported on 28 June 1944 on transport # 580. The last sibling was Chawa Rywka born in 1934.

I agree that all of these people were related, I'm just not sure about the relationships. If Tauba Hendel Albek was born in 1886, it would have been difficult (though not impossible!) for her to have been the mother of Chawa Rywka (b. 1934).

A few other things to ponder:
-Abram Lajb has a note that mentions he moved or was moved on July 1, 1942.
-According to the date listed in the database, Binem and Chana Celka were deported--as you rightly note via the secondary sources!--during the Gehsperre Aktion, deportations which largely targeted the very old and very young. It is curious to me that a 25-year-old woman would have been deported, unless she had a young child. This find might also change how we consider the Gehsperre Aktion in history--please let us know what else you find out, if anything, about Binem and Chana's fates.
-Chawa Rywka has yet another address associated with her: Holzstrasse 9 #30, possibly an address to which she/the rest of the family moved from Talweg. Does this address come up anywhere else?
-When we get all the names from the album up on the site, if Nuchema/Nechuma signed the album it will be very interesting to track her, since we have a complete record (with dates) showing possibly all of her addresses until her deportation to Chelmno in June 1944.

Great work and good sleuthing through the pieces--and thank you for leaving such thorough comments. I'm marking this possible until we can figure out those relationships a little bit better. Remember we do have an address-change date for Ruchla (to Talweg 7) that can go in this stage.
