I found Josel Piewak and he was born in 1929 and he lived at Insel 30 4 and deported on TR 35 on 14/04/1942. He fits the age for school #6.

I agree that this is the most likely candidate to have signed this name in the album. Any of the other Josef and Jozef Spiewaks are also possible, since Josl would have been the diminutive form of Josef. A good start, though!

I couldn't find the place Josel was deported to on April 14, 1942.

I found the following people living at Insel 30 flat 4. They seem to be all children as I didn't find any adults and the oldest girl was Chana born 1923 and she was deported on 02/03/1942 on TR 9. Then there was Estera Spiewak born 1925 and she was deported on 02/03/1942 TR 9, Frajdla born 1927 and deported on 14/04/1942 (same as Josel's deportation date), Nuta Spiewak born 1931 and deported on 14/09/1942, Lajzer born 1935 and deported on 14/09/1942, Dwojra born 1933 and she died on 25/05/1941, and lastly Rajzla Spiewak born 1938 and she has a ghetto note that says, "ABG 9.4.42 Waisenhaus."

I'm very puzzled by this. If these were Josel Spiewak's siblings then where were their parents? And why would have Rajzla Spiewak have moved to an orphanage on April 9, 1942?

According to the secondary resources Chana and Estera would have ended up in Chelmno on March 2, 1942. Then Frajdla and Josel weould have been deported next on April 14, 1942 to an unknown destination. ThenNuta and Lajzer would have been deported to an unknown destination on September 14, 1942.

You raise some great questions. I don't have any answers for you, but it looks like this research might challenge some of our assumptions about the dates of deportation from the ghetto. Let me know what else you find.
